REUBEN came home from Shaneen Bendixen in Qld (Thanks, Shaneen!) and has settled in very happily with the rest of his family. Following on from his Best In Show win(LRCV Champ Show) in 2005 (Sheelin Cuthbert, "Ballyduff" UK), he limped his way around the ring (with something in his foot) at the South Australian LRC Champ Show, May 2006:
"Here I have written in my notes that number 43 (ZENCHEL SLICK WILLY) would have won the class and maybe probably would have been quite a challenger for the Best male IF he only wouldn’t have suddenly started to move unsound..…such a lovely dog!!!"

In August at the National Reuben was Best Veteran Dog (7-10)
"Lovely black fellow who stood out as the clear winner, such an honest typical Lab in all respects, particularly admired his head which showed much kindness, clean neck and shoulders, really good double coat and really good otter-like tail, free, active mover"
and 3rd in Open Dog:

LRCV Champ Show March 2008 BEST IN SHOW!
"What a pleasure to see. This 10 year old dog came into the ring as though he owned it. All Labrador with his head, coat and tail. Lovely head. Excellent coat and otter tail. A well boned dog with great topline and tail carriage. Well angled and moved superbly."
