When Finty's sister collapsed and was subsequently tested as EIC DNA Affected, I retested their dam to discover she was not DNA Clear for EIC, as her initial test result had said, but DNA Affected, hence this litter turned out to be an Affected x Affected mating! Finty's sister is fine and hasn't collapsed since (thanks to her owners for their understanding). Finty and her other littermates (including Wyatt, below) have never collapsed. This episode put my breeding program back a generation; shook my faith in the principle of DNA testing and left me disappointed and angry at the laboratory's lack of support following their mistake.
